EUDR Challenges and Opportunities: Workshops in Banjaluka and Bijeljina

These events attracted around 30 companies, primarily from the wood processing sector, who gathered to gain valuable insights into the latest European Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), number 2023/1115.

The workshops were held:

• On Thursday, May 30, 2024, at the Regional Chamber of Commerce Bijeljina, Stefana Dečanskog Street bb (Agro-Trade Center), 76300 Bijeljina.
• On Friday, May 31, 2024, at the Chamber of Commerce RS, Banja Luka, Branka Ćopića Street 6, Jahorina Hall.

The lecturer for the workshops was Mr. Zoran Tintor, a member of FSCTM. Both workshops were free for all participants.

During these workshops, participants explored the expected challenges in implementing the new EUDR and learned about the FSCTM regulatory module's potential to aid FSC certificate holders in meeting EUDR requirements. The discussions covered various sectors, including forestry, wood industry, furniture industry, paper and cardboard industry, and the food industry.
