SIPPO participates as an institutional sponsor at the 2023 Chocolate and Cacao Salon
SECO, Swisscontact, and SIPPO endorse the organization of this significant event, which, for the first time, goes international with the support of Salon du Chocolat Paris, the largest global network of chocolate salons.
The 14th edition of the Peruvian Chocolate and Cacao Salon will take place from July 13th to 16th of the current year. During the event launch ceremony, the Organizing Committee highlighted the relevance of Peru's participation as the first cocoa-producing country to join the aforementioned global network of chocolate salons.
The Swiss Import Promotion Programme (SIPPO) of the Swiss Cooperation – SECO will be present at the event, supporting the strengthening of commercial activities and providing assistance in matters related to accessing international markets. Additionally, SIPPO, implemented in Peru by the Swisscontact foundation, will emphasize the importance of meeting sustainability criteria to align with market demands.
It is worth noting that this event will feature the participation of SIPPO's partners, such as PROMPERÚ and Sierra y Selva Exportadora, along with other public and private actors from the cocoa value chain, including APPCACAO as the organizing guild.
Furthermore, it is important to highlight that SIPPO's involvement in the Chocolate and Cacao Salon is not new. In the previous edition held in 2022, the Programme collaborated with the Organizing Committee in setting up commercial spaces and identifying buyers for the business roundtables. Moreover, through international experts, SIPPO also contributed to the conference series held during that event.
