Strategic Alliances Boost Peru’s Outstanding Participation at ANUGA 2025
Peru’s participation in ANUGA 2025, one of the world’s most important food and beverage trade fairs, reaffirmed the country’s position as a reliable supplier of sustainable, innovative, and high-quality products. The Peruvian delegation was led by the Lima Chamber of Commerce (CCL) and PROMPERÚ, in close coordination with its Commercial Office in Germany, strengthening Peru’s image as a strategic partner for the European food industry.
AGROMERCADO also joined this institutional collaboration, offering tastings of Andean grains, coffee, cocoa, and fruits, which generated strong interest among European importers. These activities showcased the potential of Peru’s biodiversity and its growing demand in specialized markets.
In total, 31 Peruvian companies presented in Cologne the diversity, traceability, and nutritional value of their exportable offer. The Peruvian pavilions stood out with gourmet products, processed and frozen foods, as well as innovations such as healthy snacks, new varieties of spicy products, quinoa-based items, and natural sugar-free energy beverages—segments that received notable attention from international distributors.
The joint efforts of PROMPERÚ and the CCL enabled the organization of business meetings and a specialized networking event aimed at strengthening relationships with European importers and distribution chains. Thanks to this coordinated strategy, Peru achieved USD 175 million in projected business opportunities, consolidating new prospects for the agro-export sector.
Furthermore, cooperation with Germany’s Import Promotion Desk (IPD) and the Swiss Import Promotion Programme (SIPPO) strengthened Peru’s presence in Europe, boosting the competitiveness and sustainability of the country’s exportable supply.
With its successful participation in ANUGA 2025, Peru reaffirms its commitment to innovation, diversification, and the international positioning of its food industry.
